Create an editorial design for “Risky Reward”, an article exploring tourism to Pyongyang North Korea, as featured in Time Out Magazine’s Unconventional Destinations issue
Concept / Key Words
“A reward worth the risk?” / Danger, Curiosity, Tension
Tension is created through the bold condensed display type imposing on neighboring imagery and negative space, as well as the interaction of building cutouts with the text.
A primary color palette reflects the artificial quality of the city’s presentation and the communist regime brewing underneath, lending to a sense of danger, yet a curiosity to discover.
